Welcome to My Travel Blog!

Here you can find inspiration and slow travel tips from my past and current slow travel experiences. If you’re unsure what slow travel is, go and read about it here). So far I had the opportunity to live in 4 different countries and soon I am extending this list…

In the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in California, England and South Korea for at least a few months and really dive into the different cultures. In November of 2022, I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, and was able to add another country to the list.

Although I still enjoy traditional trips (like travelling through Australia for a month or doing city trips in Europe), over the years I realized that slow travelling allows me to gain a far better understanding of other cultures. Spending a longer amount of time in a place, being confronted with different cultures, traditions and food just always felt more fulfilling than an all-inclusive resort or a sightseeing-packed trip. It takes away the stress of having to do and see everything. It also feels more stable and so far has always allowed me to make deeper connections with other people, gain friends and build up my own support system abroad.

Through slow travelling, I am able to create a deeper connection not only with the people I meet but also with the location. I really get to explore a city or a country in-depth.

That’s why I decided in the autumn of 2022 to start this travel blog. Everywhere I go I collect inspiration and learn about new cultures. I want to share these experiences on this blog with you and hopefully, you will start to love slow travel just as much as I do.
